Overview
The Gibson J-200 has always been crowned the "King of Flattops" and for good reasons. Many Kings such as Elvis and The Beatles have portrayed all their stage glory with this model. This all original example in the most spectacular Sunburst finish is a sight to behold. With all the correct patina and checking of a period-correct true vintage. This particular instrument may be a special custom build as the neck profile is slimmer than most and it’s a breeze to play. We understand from the previous owner, that this baby has rarely been played, as they sold for a fortune and are very valuable. And so, this instrument has been lovingly preserved and awaits the right "Knight:" to wield its prowess.
The J-200’s construction and aesthetic beauty makes it one of the most sought-after acoustic models that Gibson ever produced. There is no doubt that this piece was crafted out of the finest materials that were available in Kalamazoo, Michigan back in late mid 60’s. It’s a remarkably comfortable guitar that sounds unbelievable with tremendous volume, power and punchy woody tone. It is in very clean condition and sounds great with its original Tune-O-Matic-Bridge.The original rosewood mustache bridge plate is in good shape.
