Overview

These true Banner guitars made during the thick of WW2 have been and always will be at the top-of-the-list for any Gibson enthusiast. The legendary story goes that during the battle for world peace, Gibson like many other patriotic factory have most of their male workforce joining the battle. The women of these brave souls came together instead to stave off closing the production at Gibson. And the "Kalamazoo Gals" as they are known crafted the best instruments Gibson have ever produced.

This little giant produces a charming and seductive tone that rivals much larger-bodied guitars while maintaining exceptional clarity and focus in individual notes. The 1942 Banner LG-2 is extremely well-balanced, fast-playing and full of tone delivered by a select Thermally Aged Adirondack red spruce top and mahogany back and sides. Ideal for folk, blues, and finger style, this delicately balanced model maintains a full dynamic range in a compact package.
