Dowina is a company that produces handcrafted guitar based in Bratislava, Slovakia. Luthiers take their time to carefully craft each and every instrument with dedication and passion. This process starts with wood selection, where the utmost care is taken in choosing specially resonant woods. Their preference of Dolomite Spruce over German Spruce is a good choice because it transfers up to 35% more energy.
The Dowina range consist of the solid top Antique series (Puella, Rustica, Marus and Danubius) which incorporates optimized sound quality, playability and great value-to-price ratio features.
The Vintage series models are inspired by the local wine varieties – Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Cabernet for those who appreciate superior guitar sound.
The Master series guitars are for those who appreciate a superior guitar sound and master luthier craft work. Models like the Silk Road and Cocobolo, are individually created with the application of the same construction philosophy applied to a master violin.
