Overview
Joe Konkoly is known for building some the most historically accurate Martins. Using period correct materials, woods and even sticking to tradition of using the method of old construction to match the vintage builds.
These guitars are a testament to a truly obsessed luthier with a wealth of experience in dealing, repairs and restoring some of the rarest guitars, especially Martins.
He trained under one of the Martin great T.J Thompson, so you can be assured the attention to details and build is near perfect! KOM The quintessential fingerstyle guitar design, it also has the power and headroom for flatpicking.
Excellent balance, clarity, and a singing top end register give the KOM a responsive, warm, yet incisive voice. All Vintage Reproduction Series instruments are built with a domed lower bout based on the 30' radius which transitions to flat edge and also transitions to a flat profile in the upper bout beginning at the sound hole.
The sides are also prepared with a flat profile. This makes for a more traditional sound with an slightly enhanced bass response.
