Overview

This rare bird spots a unique 5 piece sculpted body of sandwich walnut and maple. Walnut set neck with walnut and maple laminate and ebony fingerboard. Grand looking gold plated tuners with Brass nut. And those boomerang pickups.
The V2 was the first major redesign of the Flying V since 1966. The body shifted from mahogany to a five-piece body and neck made of maple and walnut. This guitar featured sculpted edges on the body and a pair of "boomerang" style pickups, though later the guitar would be available with standard humbuckers as well. The Flying V was updated again to a simpler design in 1981 with the Flying V1, and the Flying V2 would be discontinued not long afterwards.
